We have hosted several parties and everyone loves the pizzas we produce and the oven. The rotating stone is a game changer and the envy of all our friends. We have had great success with making the dough ahead of time pre cooking and freezing for larger gatherings.

I was an early backer for the Scorpio, and wasn’t expecting much, due to it being the first iteration of the product. Was I wrong. It’s great. We love it, and use it all the time. If you’re on the fence about getting one, do it. You’ll be glad you did.
I’m new to the pizza game and wanted to find an oven that would reliably put out great pizza. I wasn’t sure if I should go gas or wood and Scorpio really settled it for me. I LOVE the convenience of firing up the propane and cooking great pizzas within 30 mins. The wood option is great when I have a little more time and want the added flavor.
I’ve used my oven over a dozen times in 6 months and have been happy with it every time. It works great. The spinning stone is a really nice touch that allows for even cooking throughout. I’ve also appreciated all the resources that Scorpio puts out. They have helpful videos for set up and cooking. They have thoughtful write ups on other things that helped me get started (which thermometer to get, etc).
If you are thinking about getting one, just do it. You won’t regret it.
I’ve cooked a ton of pizzas in my Scorpio oven and have it dialed in perfectly. Before this, I was using a Roccbox and preordered the Scorpio when it launched. I like the Scorpio better—it fits bigger pizzas, and the spinning feature ensures an even cook with almost no effort. With the Roccbox, I sometimes struggled with the bottom not cooking fast enough to spin it manually without overcooking the side near the burner. The Scorpio’s rotisserie function eliminates that problem entirely. It’s also lighter and easier to transport than the Roccbox.
Here are my tips: I light the oven and start the rotisserie before stretching and shaping my dough. Using a thermometer, I aim for a stone temp of around 700°F for New York-style pizza. Once it hits that mark, I turn the burner all the way down, finish saucing and topping, then load the pizza. I cook it until the crust is just right, pull it out, and brush the stone clean with a pizza oven brush. It’s ready for the next pie in no time

May 24, 2022 and we received the Scorpio in April of 2024 and we love it. With our house made sourdough and cooking on the Scorpio with Indiana cherrywood it makes for a delicious pizza every time. We plan on using this on our patio this spring and summer and possibly adding one or two for our food truck. Awesome product we thank you.
The Scorpio is a game changer and a great addition to my back yard cooking lineup. Love the flexibility with the fuel options, the portability, and this thing is very well constructed. Bottom line is it’s just fun to cook with and the pizza comes out wonderfully.
Oh My GOSH !!!! Now I love the Scorpio even more ! Cauliflower pizza ..YUM. Biggest key is getting as much water out of cauliflower as possible. This was first attempt. Definitely could’ve squeeze out more water but I’m so happy. It was yummy

We gave away our Ooni once we started using the Scorpio. It heats up really quickly, is easy to move around, and can use either propane or wood. It also has a great capacity, so it is super easy to launch and retrieve your pizza. It is just sooo easy and makes a perfect pizza every time. Gone are the days of the pizza burning on one side and needing to move the pizza around while it cooking. Just pre-heat, launch, wait and retrieve. Awesome!!

This oven takes some time to get used to, but for a portable pizza oven that makes awesome woodfire pizzas, you're not going to find anything better.
I must stress that it takes some time to learn how to use this oven properly. If you are doing a wood fire, I'm sure propane is much easier. It's a little more than just putting wood in there and letting it go, and that is going to be the biggest hurdle to getting great pizza.
I hope they come up with a wood-only stand-alone for my backyard soon. This design has a lot of potential.
I jumped on the campaign early when the Scorpio was announced, as it promised the best at home cooking experience out there, and I can confirm, it delivered! Just from unboxing, the Scorpio proved it's quality is unmatched by any other portable pizza oven out there. The stainless steel finish on all parts is beautiful and the amount of accessories really makes this a great deal, from the classy pizza peel, to the all weather cover allowing this to stay up on the patio all season. The parts all went together easy, and the dual fuel option adds to it's flexibility. Propane for quick start ups and wood for a nice smokey flavor. I do plan to take it on the road camping this season, and look forward to showing it off. Thanks Scorpio team!

As an owner of an OONI Soda 16 pizza oven I was excited to get my Scorpio Pizza oven. The closing door, multiple heat options and rotating pizza stone change the home pizza game. Using the OONI we struggled to get the pizza rotated regularly and ended up with some burnt ends. We also found that in between pies we would have to wait a long time to get the stone up to temperature for the next pie. Because of the closed door on the Scorpio and the rotating stone we haven't had any issues with burnt ends of the pizza. We also find that the Scorpio retains heat for longer periods of time which means we can get more pies through the oven in a shorter amount of time. I am also mesmorized by the design, not so much the exterior as much as the flame pattern on the inside. I could watch that flame roll over the pizza and up into the chimney for hours. We have only used the oven once or twice so far, but we are in love. Soon enough the OONI will be a dust collector or put up for sale.
Scorpio pizza oven was very easy to set up and get going. So far we have only used the gas functionality and it is super easy. Most importantly, the pizza comes out incredible (and I do not even have any prior experience). Amazing crust and taste. It has been so much fun experimenting with different pizza toppings with my kids. You make your pizza, throw it into oven, watch it rotate and dough rise. And then within just a couple minutes out pops a delicous pizza. Very happy with my purchase and looking forward to years of delicious homemade pizza.

I got my new Scorpio set up and it is fantastic. The sturdy construction will last forever, but it is light enough to take with you to tailgates and parties. I have owned a couple pizza ovens in the past but the domed top and rotating stone were the reasons I had to have the Scorpio. You literally turn on the burners which crank up the oven to 900+ degrees, prepare your dough and toppings and pop it in. 90 seconds later you have the perfect pizza. No more messy pizza turning to try and get all sides evenly cooked. It makes you a pizza pro – and for parties the rotating stone gives you the time to get the next pie ready, so you can get a couple different combos lined up for your guests. Well worth the wait.
I first learned of the Scorpio Pizza Oven in June of 2022, when I jumped in and invested in this start up company through their INDIEGOGO campaign. After 2 years of anticipation, and following their progress every step of the way, my Scorpio Pizza Oven FINALLY arrived!! Two glorious boxes showed up at my doorstep...much heavier than I had imagined, but that is due to the heavy gauge construction. Once all of the pieces were unboxed, It took me about 20 minutes to assemble. I ran out to my local supply center and picked up a 60 lb. bag of Applewood cooking firewood, got home and fired that puppy up! WOW! It is Awesome!! The fire chute holds enough wood to keep your oven hot for well over an hour without reloading. The rotation of the motor provides a nice, slow and steady pace to evenly heat your stone and cook your pizza to perfection. As much as I appreciate the included optional Propane hookup, nothing beats the taste of a wood burning oven Pizza. There will be a bit of trial and error for the beginner when it comes to filling the wood chute with just enough fuel for your planned cook time...but not overdoing it. My pizza cooked to a perfect crisp so quickly that I ended up having to burn off the remaining wood for over an hour before I could cool down, clean and cover the oven. I suppose that is one area where the Propane option will offer the simplicity of a controlled fire that can be shut down immediately when done. I have one other suggestion for full portability of the Scorpio. Get yourself a rechargeable battery pack to plug in the motor. I used a Dewalt, 20v Battery with a USB adapter. That baby can run the motor for hours on a single charge, releasing you from being tethered to an extension cord and electrical outlet. All in all, I couldn't be happier with my investment in SCORPIO and I can't wait to see what else they have in store for us!
