First, it was easy to assemble and setup. Once I got it properly placed outside I started to have some doubts that maybe mid Winter wasn’t the best time to start learning how to bake pizzas outdoors. Boy was I wrong. I have produced some great pizzas while the temps were in the low thirties and in some cases with brisk winds off the ocean. I am quite impressed that in those conditions it still managed to heat up to optimal Neapolitan temps, and handle baking several pizzas in a row, all of which my family really enjoyed. It has been engineered and designed well. Now I can’t wait for Spring to arrive and throw a pizza party for friends and family.

Since purchasing our Scorpio, we have experienced numerous "comparison" conversations with other pizza oven connoisseurs... but when we describe our Scorpio oven compared to their ovens it's like we're describing two different product categories. Most of our friends' ovens can't approach anywhere near the high temperatures our Scorpio achieves with ease. 18in turntable? Most don't even know such a thing exists and listen longingly wishing there oven could do that. See-through door that allow access and yet builds temperature quickly? Again, an extremely useful feature I can't imagine not having, but most of our friends grow silent with envy when we describe it. There are pizza ovens... and then there are Scorpio's. Once you've used one, everything else seems like a pale imitation--definitely worth the extra investment!
I knew this was the pizza oven I had visioned. I waited for the launch and boy was i right. Scorpio checks all the boxes and while my skills need to catch up to the performance, I’m having fun making great pizzas and calzones when I mess up the dough. You need this Scorpio!
We have hosted several parties and everyone loves the pizzas we produce and the oven. The rotating stone is a game changer and the envy of all our friends. We have had great success with making the dough ahead of time pre cooking and freezing for larger gatherings.
